Years. 115 BC to 53 BC

We are not sure. The gold story is a later insult. Do not treat it as proven.

Three short facts

  1. 1He made money from property and from other people’s trouble.
  2. 2He shared a political deal with Caesar and Pompey.
  3. 3He died after a lost war in the east.

The story

Crassus wanted glory to match his gold.

He led the army that beat Spartacus.

Then he wanted a great foreign win.

He marched toward Parthia, a strong kingdom.
